Dosing recommendations based on eGFR full text

Graph showing dosage recommendations based on eGFR.

To improve glycemic control in adults with T2DM
Recommended starting dose: 10 mg
Increase to 25 mg in patients tolerating 10 mg who require additional glycemic control
Discontinue if eGFR persistently <30 mL/min/1.73 m2

No dosage adjustments for eGFR ≥30 mL/min/1.73 m2. Not recommended for use due to insufficient data for
eGFR 20 to <30 mL/min/1.73 m2. Contraindicated in eGFR <20 mL/min/1.73 m2.

To reduce the incidence of CV death in adults with T2DM and established CV disease as add-on combination therapy
Recommended dose: 10 mg
Discontinue if eGFR persistently <30 mL/min/1.73 m2

No dosage adjustments for eGFR ≥30 mL/min/1.73 m2. Not recommended for use due to insufficient data for
eGFR 20 to <30 mL/min/1.73 m2. Contraindicated in eGFR <20 mL/min/1.73 m2.

For the treatment of HF in adults with HF as add-on combination therapy
Recommended dose: 10 mg

No dosage adjustments for eGFR ≥20 mL/min/1.73 m2. Not recommended for use due to insufficient data for
eGFR <20 mL/min/1.73 m2.

X-axis: eGFR (mL/min/1.73 m2) from 0 to 60 in increments of 10 with 20 and 30 bold.

eGFR=estimated glomerular filtration rate; T2DM=type 2 diabetes mellitus; CV=cardiovascular.
