SPEVIGO, remt de signalering van de Interleukine-36 Receptor (IL36R)1,2

Een ontregelde IL-36R-signaalroute leidt tot een neutrofiele ontstekingsreactie bij GPP.3,4

  • De IL-36R-signaalroute wordt gereguleerd door de interactie tussen IL-36R-agonisten en-antagonisten om een gebalanceerde immuunrespons te waarborgen.5-7 Een ontregelde IL-36R-signalering leidt tot een neutrofiele ontstekingsreactie. Dit is zichtbaar door het snel ontstaan van wijdverspreide steriele pustels, een kenmerkend symptoom van GPP-opvlammingen.3,4,8
  • De binding van SPEVIGO aan de IL-36 Receptor voorkomt de activatie van deze receptor en daarmee de downstream activatie van pro-inflammatoire en pro-fibrotische routes verder in de cascade.1
