He is currently Professor of Internal Medicine (Chair) at the University of Helsinki. He is also Chief Physician at the Department of Nephrology, University of Helsinki and Helsinki University Hospital and Principal Investigator of the Finnish Diabetic Nephropathy (FinnDiane) Study at the Folkhälsan Research Center in Helsinki, Finland. He is Adjunct Professor at the Department of Diabetes, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.

He is a Consultant Physician in Diabetes and Endocrinology and Internal Medicine at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital London. He graduated with a distinction in medicine from the University of London in 1998 and was awarded UK Medical Research Council Clinical Research Training Fellowship and PhD by the University of London for research on the pathophysiology and treatment of cardiovascular disease and renal disease in diabetes.

Chun Soo Lim is a professor of the department of internal medicine, Seoul National University College of Medicine & serving as a physician at the division of nephrology, Seoul National University Boramae Medical Center. He is the immediate past president of the Korean Society of Nephrology. He is also a council member of the Korean Society of Internal Medicine, and an advisor to the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service of Korea. Published 250+ articles; focuses on glomerulonephritis, diabetic kidney disease, renal anemia, and medical policy.

He is a Cardiologist at Severance Cardiovascular Hospital, Yonsei University College of Medicine, Seoul. He specializes in heart failure and has conducted numerous studies on cardiovascular research. Dr. Oh received the Best Professor Award in 2023 and has advanced studies from the University of Zurich. His extensive research includes cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, stem cell therapy, and heart transplantation, significantly contributing to the field of cardiology.

General practitioner Coorparoo, Australia

He is a general practitioner with a passionate interest in promoting quality patient care of diabetes and obesity in general practice through education, development of resources including guidelines, policy development, research, and strategic collaboration. He is the Chair of the Diabetes Specific interest network for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). He is also an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow of Monash University.
